About Us

Action with Lao Children (ALC) is an NGO dedicated to improving the educational environment of children in Laos so they may fulfil the right to create their own future.

Our Mission
When ALC was founded in 1982, there was only one national library and one bookstore in Vientiane. There were no books available for children in Laos. Even today, children in remote areas have very few opportunities to read and write stories in their daily lives.

Our wish for Lao children is to expand their world and enhance their ability to express their thoughts and ideas, enabling them to choose their own path in life, and lead towards a fair and peaceful global society.
